Yesterday we received 700 "undeliverable mail". Some spammer stole our identity to send mass junk mail. For every undeliverable probably thousands of successful spam emails were sent. I burned some precious time which would have been used to service your orders more quickly.

You can claim to be anything in the "From" field when you send an email, but newer mail servers would go to the domain name specified in the "From" field of the email and verifies if the domain name authorizes the email to be sent using some rules. We implemented such SPF rules on our domain name server which hopefully would curb the spammer and put them to a stop.
