won't lock to AF, and won't meter my Canon 580EX I speedlight.

Is there anything I can do without sending it in?

Can I send it in even thought "new" lens conversions are not being accepted?

Bo-Ming,

I've purchased 24-85N from a member here it was working great. Yesterday, i've decided to update the 5D MK II to the latest firmware 2.0.7 and now my lens wont auto focus. Other lens work fine (70-200N), except the 24-85N. Can I downgrade the firmware to the previous version or what's the correct procedure for solving this problem? Is this a common problem when upgrading the camera's firmware?

The AF on my N50 is slow, steady and silent. You can actually count 1,2,3 while it moves to be in focus. This is different from my N24-85 and N17-35 which jolts to be in focus.

Is the focusing speed of the N50 deliberate? if yes, why so? Is it possible to tune the focusing speed of the N50 to be faster, like the other 2 lenses?

Conurus,

I tried my nam-1 adaptor and found a glare at the photos when low shutter speed.

I inspect the adaptor and find the collar is a reflective material. I cover it with black cloth then the glare disppear. I think the glare is due to internal reflection. Is it possible to remove the collar and use some black cloth to cover the metal flange.

wow . the second time writing this. is this forum working at all? my 17-35 autofocus certainly doesnt work anymore. i am coming to vancouver for work. can i drop this lens off for you to look at while i am in town?

I have a couple of orders (six lenses) in for conversion. I've been trying to check on their status but keep getting a message stating that a problem has occurred.

Is anyone else having this problem

bo ming. my 17-35mm wont autofocus anymore. i am running it on my 1ds3 and all my other lenses autofocus fine. i switched to all the different iris click stops and nothing. the lens does make a whining sound when i try to autofocus. i purchased from rich at photo village about two years old. i am coming to vancouver sept. 6. can i drop it off some where for you to look at?
